Cape Verde is a group of 10 Atlantic islands situated approximately 450 miles off the coast of Senegal. The culture is influenced by both Portuguese and African traditions which become more apparent during local festivals and fiesta which are colourful, lively and vibrant displays of music and dance. The climate in Cape Verde is similar to the Canary Islands with temperatures rarely falling below 24 deg C even in the winter months. A constant breeze minimizes humidity and rainfall is minimal. The most popular of the Cape Verde Islands are Sal, Santiago and Boa Vista, however all the islands offer spectacular scenery of lush greenery and volcanic rock formations and a wide range of activities and excursions are available. Island hopping is a great way to see more than one island during a visit to Cape Verde.

Interest in Cape Verde continues to grow and the development of holiday resorts and residential properties has had property developers and property investors flocking to the islands in search of a new venture. Cape Verde property prices are low compared to other European Countries and direct flights are now available from many of the major airports in Europe which is a tempting scenario for all buyers in search of a holiday or retirement home.
